Jane Brookshaw grew up on a farm in North Wales. She graduated with a BA Degree in Combined Crafts from Crewe and Alsager College in 1987. Over the years Jane has won various awards for her designs which have appeared on a wide variety of gift products including Dunoon mugs all around the world.​

From her studio in Overton-on-Dee near Wrexham, Jane draws inspiration from many things, especially the pretty countryside which surrounds her where she lives with her cat Willow. Her passion for colour is often expressed in her vibrant paintings and artwork. Her expressionist paintings are all about colour, shapes and marks on canvas, driven by her emotions and intuition. They can be bold and vibrant but never predictable. She often surprises herself with the end result.
