Erika Armstrong is a South African artist currently based in Chester, her original paintings are often inspired by the South African tradition of colours, rhythms and fabric designs. After spending time in the Middle East as a teacher, inspiration came from the local craft markets and Souks. Erika uses simple composition and to portray movement in everyday spaces, she is inspired by the playful nature of contrasting shapes and patterns.
