Sally Darlington lives in Chester and creates art using sea glass she collects from the beaches and coves of Anglesey. She spends time with her husband and dogs in their caravan, which they call their happy place. Her journey began by experimenting with sea glass, creating simple pictures for friends and family. They encouraged her to share her work, and she found Art Box, a platform for emerging local artists.

Sally believes mindfulness is at the core of her creations. Her art reflects a philosophy of “less is more,” inspired by her mother’s words. She enjoys working with sea glass, which she sees as beautiful “rubbish” tumbled by the ocean. Sally also incorporates driftwood and sea pottery collected from Anglesey, using the different textures to add depth to her work.

Thanks to Art Box, Sally’s art journey has grown, and she is excited to develop her craft even further.
