Daniel Clorley’s passion for painting began in the early 2000s, when he studied art at Sixth Form College in Manchester. Although his career later took him in a different direction into aviation, the pandemic in early 2020 provided the perfect opportunity to return to his easel.
Though he had always planned to paint again, Daniel was surprised by how quickly the creative spark reignited during the lockdown. He hasn’t looked back since. Between 2021 and 2022, he studied online at Sentient Academy in Utah, USA, learning from renowned American artists.
Daniel draws inspiration from old Masters such as Turner, Constable, Sargent, and Seago, as well as many contemporary artists. He continues to refine his skills, focusing on the fundamentals of oil painting, light, and shadow. Above all, he embraces the joy and escapism of painting.
