Jane Brookshaw grew up on a farm in North Wales and graduated with a BA in Combined Crafts from Crewe and Alsager College in 1987. Over the years, she has won various awards for her designs, which have been featured on products like Dunoon mugs sold around the world.

Working from her studio in Erbistock, near Wrexham, Jane draws inspiration from the beautiful countryside that surrounds her. Many of her designs feature farm animals, painted in an animated, humorous style. Her love of colour shines through in her vibrant paintings.

Using acrylics, pens, and coloured inks, Jane creates both comical and semi-realistic depictions of animals. Her expressionist paintings are driven by emotion and intuition. Bold, vibrant, and unpredictable, Jane often surprises herself with the final result.
